Coastal Path Counselling
My Story
I came to counselling not just through professional training, but through personal experience. I’m also a veteran, and I know first hand the unique challenges that can come with service, the culture of strength, the unspoken struggles, and the toll that duty can take on mental health. Over the years, I’ve seen close friends, family members, and colleagues face deep struggles some in silence, others with great courage. Many worked in frontline roles, including the military, emergency services, and NHS. I saw how often support was needed but not easy to reach. That’s what planted the seed for Coastal Path Counselling: the belief that no one should have to carry their pain alone.

I’m also a neurodivergent counsellor, and that identity shapes the way I work. I know what it’s like to navigate a world that isn’t always built with you in mind and the emotional cost of masking, misunderstanding, and overwhelm. But I also know the creativity, depth, and insight that can come from neurodivergence. I’m deeply committed to creating a space where neurodivergent clients can feel safe, understood, and free to be their full selves.

As a qualified, BACP registered counsellor, I offer a space where people can feel heard, valued, and safe especially those who are used to looking after everyone else.

My approach is integrative and humanistic, drawing on Person Centred, Gestalt, and Existential therapies. I meet you as a whole person not a diagnosis, label, or problem to fix. I believe in the healing power of genuine connection, empathy, and giving your story space to unfold in its own time.

I’m especially passionate about supporting veterans, emergency service workers, NHS staff, and neurodivergent clients those who may feel unseen, burnt out, or burdened by experiences few people understand. My aim is to offer therapy that is affirming, accessible, and attuned to your world.

I also proudly offer a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for LGBTQ+ clients, and for anyone exploring identity, loss, change, or meaning. Whoever you are, and whatever’s brought you here, you are welcome.
